miigo is an app for organizing and managing group trips. This page describes how you can delete certain data without removing your entire account.

Your Data Control

You have the right to request the deletion of certain data while keeping your miigo account active. This gives you more control over your personal information.

How to Request Data Deletion

To request the deletion of specific data, please follow these steps:

Send an Email

Send an email to contact@miigo.one with the subject "Data Deletion Request".

Specify the Data

In your email, indicate which data you would like to delete (see list below).

Verify Your Identity

Include the email address associated with your miigo account.

Receive Confirmation

We will process your request within 30 days and notify you once the deletion is complete.

What Data Can Be Deleted?

You can request the deletion of the following data without deleting your account:

Trip Data

Trips you created, activities, and polls

Messages

Your messages in group conversations

Media

Uploaded photos and files

Group Memberships

Your participation in specific groups

Comments

Your comments on activities and suggestions

Profile Information

Profile picture and optional details

What Data Will Be Retained?

The following data must be retained for legal or operational reasons:

  • Account Information: Email address and username are required for account management.
  • Transaction Data: Payment records are stored in accordance with legal retention periods (up to 10 years).
  • Security Logs: Login data and security events to protect your account.
  • Legal Documentation: Data required for ongoing legal proceedings or legal obligations.

Retention Period

The deletion of requested data will be completed within 30 days of confirming your request. Legally required retention periods (6-10 years for financial data) remain unaffected.
