miigo is an app for organizing and managing group trips. This page describes how you can request the deletion of your miigo account and associated data.
How to Request Account Deletion
To request the deletion of your miigo account, please follow these steps:
Send an Email
Send an email to contact@miigo.one with the subject "Account Deletion Request".
Verify Your Identity
Include the email address associated with your miigo account in your request.
Receive Confirmation
We will process your request within 30 days and notify you by email once the deletion is complete.
What Data Will Be Deleted?
When your account is deleted, the following data will be permanently removed:
- Account Information: Name, email address, profile picture, and all account settings
- Trip Data: Trips you created, activities, polls, and comments
- Group Memberships: Your participation in all group trips
- Messages: All messages you sent in group conversations
- Uploaded Media: Photos and files you shared in the app
What Data Will Be Retained?
Some data must be retained for legal or operational reasons:
- Transaction Data: Payment records and invoices are retained in accordance with legal retention periods (up to 10 years).
- Anonymized Data: Aggregated, non-personal usage statistics may be retained for analytical purposes.
- Legal Documentation: Data required for ongoing legal proceedings or to fulfill legal obligations.
Retention Period
Your account deletion will be completed within 30 days of confirming your request. Data that must be retained for legal reasons will be automatically deleted after the statutory retention periods expire (typically 6-10 years for financial data).
